JFK ASSASSINATION ARGUMENTS
(PART 620)

CHARLES WALLACE SAID:

If Oswald did it all by himself, then who was this guy?

Excerpt from the report below:

"Mrs. MOONEYHAM estimated that it was about 4 to 5 minutes following the shots fired by the assassin that she looked up towards the sixth floor of the TSBD and observed the figure of a man standing in a sixth floor window behind some cardboard boxes. This man appeared to Mrs. MOONEYHAM to be looking out of the window, however, the man was not close up to the window but was standing slightly back from it, so that Mrs. MOONEYHAM could not make out his features. She stated that she could give no description of this individual except to say that she is sure it was a man she observed, because the figure had on trousers. She could not recall the color of the trousers."

COLIN COBB SAID:

Charles, if that was an assassin as you say, why would they still be hanging around the sniper's nest 5 minutes after the shooting? Is the person waiting to be caught? Doesn't make any sense.

DAVID VON PEIN SAID:

Amen, Colin.
Just silly as all get out.

RICKY COBB SAID:

I'm sorry, is someone else seeing something in that picture, because I don't see anything? It's like those grainy images of Bigfoot and Loch Ness monster. Again the CT evidence amounts to jack.

STEVE BARBER SAID:

I think it looks like a clown face in the window, or better yet, Michael Myers of Halloween movie fame!

DAVID VON PEIN SAID:

The "face" in the window is merely more of the same -- conspiracy theorists seeing things they want to see. I certainly see no "face" in that window:

ED CAGE SAID:

Charles, respectfully (and I'm a practicing Catholic) the face in the window looks like Jesus on "The Holy Shroud."

DAVID VON PEIN SAID:

But even if it is a face, why the heck couldn't it be LEE OSWALD'S face? After all, it's only been about 4 or 5 seconds since the last shot was fired. So why is OSWALD being eliminated as being the alleged "face" in the window?

CHARLES WALLACE SAID:

David, if you read about [Robert] Jackson and [Tom] Dillard's response it was more than 4 or 5 seconds. Even so, considering it 4 or 5 seconds would destroy the 'Oswald had time to be where Baker saw him'.

DAVID VON PEIN SAID:

It doesn't "destroy" it at all, Charles. Howard Brennan said Oswald stayed in the window for a few seconds (so, yes, my earlier estimate of "4 or 5 seconds" probably should be adjusted to a longer period).

But we don't know how fast Oswald was moving when he went down to the second floor. One thing I'll bet is true, though, is this---Lee Oswald sure as heck was moving a lot faster than a "normal walking pace". And we know that Secret Service agent Howlett made it to the second floor in just 78 seconds while moving at a "normal walking pace" [WCR; p.152].

Geez, I'd guess Oswald (or almost ANYONE) could get down there in less than 50 seconds--easy.
